Commission Policies
Please read all of these policies carefully before ordering.
Payment and Fees: I accept all major debit/credit cards for commission purchases. I charge full price up front on Minis and up to 11" X 14" size commissions. For larger commissions I charge half of the final price up front, half upon completion, however you also have the option to simply pay the full price up front (just inform me of this when you order). I also accept PayPal, but only if it is for the full amount of the commission.
Partial Payments: If you would like to make payments I am willing to work that out with you. Please e-mail me to discuss it.
Timeframe: Commissions take as long as they take to get finished, meaning I never know how long a piece will truly take to complete. I am also a very hard working artist with a very full plate and a very full schedule running my own business. This means that there is NO time frame on commissions. Period. I endeavor to make it that you won't have to wait too long, but sometimes it can take several months to a year for me to get to a commission. Once you have paid the intial (half) or full payment, it secures your place on my "To Do" list, which means you WILL get your commission, I just cannot guarantee exactly when (sometimes I can get it done right away). Please have patience with me!
Revisions: Depending on the size and complexity of the piece I will offer a certain number of revisions, or corrections. This is so that you can be sure that I am creating what you have in mind, and to be sure that I am not missing anything. Minis get only one revision, single character full colors get two, large pieces get as many as five...you get the picture. Once I have the drawing to a certain stage I will e-mail you a scan of it and discuss it from there. Revisions are duing the drawing phase only!!! Once I begin coloring it becomes much too difficult (and often times impossible) to offer revisions, so you must be sure you are happy during the drawing phase of the piece!
Cancellations and Refunds: The intial half of the full payment is my "kill fee", which I will keep if -any- work has been done on the commission. If no work has been done towards your commission and you decide to cancel you will be issued a credit with Goldenwolf Art for the amount you have already paid. I'm sorry, I cannot offer any other kind of refund. During the revisions phase you will have plenty of time to make decisions and changes about your piece. That said, should the commission be finished and for some reason you don't like it, or do not want it, you will still be charged the final amount. If you fail to pay the final price in full within 30 days and the piece is finished, I will keep the piece and sell it. If you have paid in full and I send you your artwork and it gets returned, or I otherwise cannot get a hold of you, I will keep the piece and sell it.
Rights: I retain all rights to the artwork, including
any and all electronic rights and usage, the right to reproduce, sell, show,
display, and use the artwork as I see fit. However, if you would like to
retain these rights to the artwork for yourself I would charge you a fee
for those rights (on top of the fee for your commission). Please e-mail
me to arrange this once you order your commission.
What I will not do:
- Sexualy explicit or "yiffy" subjects or scenes. Mild erotica is fine, but no "pink bits". Discuss what your idea is with me first before ordering.
- Violence, either implied or graphic, which also means gore
- Highly negative imagery that deals with death, sadness, fear, etc.
- Overly technical subjects, such as machines, buildings, guns, etc.
- Portraits of people (just don't feel comfortable doing this, sorry)
What I will do:
- Animals, either anthropomorphic or natural
- Fantasy People (though I am pretty picky about what I will and will not do here)
- Fantasy/mythological creatures
- Tribal design work
- Spiritual, visionary artwork that requires channeling/intuition
- Feather Painting
- Drum Painting
- Totem Art
- Tattoo (Flash) Art
Wait List: If you are interested in getting a commission from me in a size or medium I am currently not offering (such as drawings/sketches, tattoos, acrylics, large detailed pieces, etc) you may be put on the Wait List (being put on the wait list does not guarantee you a commission!). The Wait List simply lets me know that you are interested in my services, and what you are interested in having me do for you. When I have room in my schedule to take on the kind of commission you are interested in, or if I have a commission auction going, I will inform those on the list. Once again the Wait List is only to inform me of your desire to commission me. It absolutely does not guarantee that I will take on your commission.
Add me to the Wait List! Please include your name, your country (I won't need your address at this time), and a description of what you would be interested in as well as the size and medium you would want.
Otherwise, if you have any questions about my policies or my commissions,
please e-mail me and ask!
