Kierrn society is loose at best, and fairly unstructured as there are no Kierrn "leaders" of any sort. Kierrn tend to be solitary or run in small packs of (generally) 2 - 6 members in an established territory, or as vagabonds. Rules of conduct and what not are strictly up to the individual or pack, however there are a few rules that are universal to the Kierrn that none may break. * Never allow yourself to be known. Every Kierrn knows that discovery by humans is something that should never be allowed to happen under any circumstances. Humans, by modern day, are well versed in the knowledge that silver can kill a werewolf, and there is nothing more frightening than a mob of humans all equipped with silver. Thus Kierrn stick to areas where they will not be noticed, and kills are made very carefully. * Do not become hungry. When a Kierrn goes too long without a kill, he will start to become ravenous, and when he becomes ravenous he becomes sloppy, and when that happens humans start to notice. So the Kierrn know to make kills regularly, at least once every two weeks. * Kill carefully. When a Kierrn needs to kill, it selects a victim carefully. If someone should see a Kierrn, they must be tracked and either killed (though this causes even more problems), or the memory of their sighting erased by magic. These laws are considered sacred, and a Kierrn that breaks them will be killed by his bretheren. Most Kierrn are vagabonds, traveling here and there, never staying in any one place for long. This is the best way for Kierrn to live in this modern world as it helps them to avoid detection. When two traveling Kierrn meet on the road they are generally cordial to one another, and may even stick together for a few days, but Kierrn find it easier to hunt alone and so they will part company with one another eventually. Vagabond Kierrn parties or other get togethers have been known to happen on occasion, but these events are rare. Large cities such as Los Angeles, New York, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico City, Cairo, et., especially massive third world cities are where Kierrn find the best hunting grounds. These large cities are riddled with slums and bleak areas where the poor, homeless, and insane or diseased are gathered, people that the rest of the world has forgotten about already. Kierrn find killing there easy, naturally. Such hunting grounds are highly prized and often fiercely guarded by packs. These city packs gather together for mutual benefit and function as a wolf pack should with alphas, subordinates, and omegas. Some cities, such as Mexico City, will have several packs that carve up the city between them into respective territories. Outside of large cities packs and individual territories are rare. Older and more experienced Kierrn will know where the best places to hunt are, and will likely even establish a territory. When a territory is established, wards are put up to announce to other Kierrn that the area is taken. If invading Kierrn decide they want to test the owner (or resident pack), there will be bloodshed. Mates Enforcers |
